Stevie on Sesame Street

A few years back I heard Stevie Wonder talking about how he approaches his music the way a sighted artist may approach painting. He builds layer upon layer to create interweaving textures and effects that give rise to emotions greater than any individual ingredient. This deliberate and caring attention he gives to his songs elevated my appreciation and attention to his songs.
